EI100T Titanic Commeration Station

EI100T was issued as a once off special event call in 2012 to commerate the 100th anniversary of the Titanic sinking. Throughout 2012 EI100T was operated regularly from Cobh (Queenstown), Lower Cork Harbour (IO51UU) by members of the Cork Radio Club (EI5CRC) and the East Cork Radio Group (EI7M). Cork Harbour was the last port of call of the Titanic on her maiden and final voyage.

EI100T was operated as a special event station during the weekend of April 14th & 15th 2012. Details on all the Titanic special event calls, EI100T (Cobh/Queenstown), EI4CDN (Connemara)GI100MGY (Belfast), GB1HMGY (Southampton)GB0TI (Lichfield, UK), VO1MCE (Cape Race, Canada) and VE0MGY/MM (Titanic wreck site) are available by following the EI100T link. The EI100T operation made 11,605 contacts on all bands from 160m to 6m and on CW, SSB and RTTY. A huge thanks to all who made the event such a success.

All EI100T awards have now been issued. If anyone feels they should have received an award but did not, please contact EI4HQ@QTHR ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ). Another batch of direct QSLs will be sent out shortly (current list; RU3ALR, JA1UTB, W7CNL, CO2WF & W2GB). Bureau cards are now being processed in earnest. It is hoped that cards for all outstanding EI100T contacts (i.e. all those not already processed direct) will be sent to the outgoing EI bureau by the end of 2013.

The first batch of EI100T Awards have been issued to all radio amateurs who specifically requested the award. If you have made a reward request to EI4HQ by email but have not received your award by email, please contact me. In the coming weeks, all awards will be made available online for qualifying stations to download them. Full details to follow.
